The Technical and Creative Work AV Installation Companies Do

Very few people understand the intricacies of a professional AV installation; as a result, they may not see the value of working with professional AV installation companies compared to buying the components and installing them themselves. Delivering stellar home entertainment, however, takes a lot of work.

If you're interested in installing a home theater, multi-room audio, or fully integrated AV throughout your home, a professional will deliver unprecedented quality, customization, and ease of use. Consultation & Assessment

Our projects begin with a consultation to better understand what you're looking for in your home AV. Some clients may want to showcase a listening room with large loudspeakers, and others might want discreet whole-home audio. We collaborate with you on ideas. For a client desiring a listening room, for example, we may suggest acoustic panels that double as art pieces to add a stylistic spark while improving sound quality.

When applicable, we'll also conduct an on-site assessment of room dimensions, ambient lighting, acoustics, etc. During this stage, technicians use specialized tools to measure signal strength and interference in different rooms.

System Design

Based on the information gathered, we'll develop a detailed plan specifying all device placement and cabling. The design team employs modeling software to simulate the room's audio-visual experience for guidance on where to place speakers and displays. This is all meticulously documented in CAD designs.

As part of your design, we'll work on finding the right equipment for the job. We'll evaluate factors like room size, space in walls and ceilings, AV performance, and interoperability. For example, in a family room, our team might suggest a retractable projector screen that hides in the ceiling when not in use to boost the room's multipurpose functionality.

Installation & Programming

Our team then begins building out your system, closely following the design documents. We'll run cables discreetly through walls and ceilings and terminate them at professionally organized racks housing all your components. Careful cable management at these racks can expedite maintenance and future additions.

We build the rack at our headquarters where our engineers take care of all the programming needed. We test out the full rack functionality before transporting it to your home to speed up installation and troubleshooting. Once all the cabling for your project is installed, we'll add components at their respective locations based on design documentation.

We then program your universal remote and mobile app to control not just your AV components but also other smart home features like lighting and shades.

Calibration & Testing

We'll calibrate all the equipment to meet room acoustics and lighting. Though some displays, speakers, and receivers now include calibrating software, it takes a professional's scientific and artistic touch to get everything sounding and looking just right.

We use high-precision microphones and software to analyze the room's audio output and tune devices to the room's unique acoustics. Sometimes, we even set up user profiles that automatically adjust the audio-visual settings based on who is watching: dialogue clarity for elderly family members or a bass boost for action movie nights in your home theater.

After the calibration process, there's a final testing stage and walk-through to make sure the system works as planned.
